Write for us
Rising Garden Guide welcomes thoughtful pitches about garden layout, plant forms, materials, seasonal change and garden history. We look for clear ideas that help general readers notice something new or make a considered choice.
What to pitch
Propose one focused story with a clear reader takeaway. Useful subjects include explaining a design feature, comparing options, tracing a garden idea through history, examining a common assumption or offering a grounded guide to a particular kind of garden visit. Keep recommendations safe and adaptable; avoid advice that depends on specialist assessment of an individual site.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the working title, central idea, intended reader and the main points the piece would cover. Explain what makes the subject distinct from familiar garden advice, and note any sources, images or potential conflicts of interest relevant to the proposal. Originality, precision and a defined scope matter more than a grand claim.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is not a commission, and we may not be able to respond to every submission. Please do not send a complete article unless requested.
